NSW Labor Party was hit by a ransomware attack after gaining access to the company's computer network Global cyber criminals have asked the company to pay the ransom.

Attackers threatened to release a trove of sensitive information including images of passports, driver’s licenses, and employment contracts.

The criminal group also threatened to launch a denial of service attack against the party if it did not pay up.
