The ABCya database was found to be misconfigured by the MacKeeper team. ABCya advertised itself as the leader in free educational computer games and activities for youngsters.
After being informed of the problem, ABCya remained silent. The scientists at MacKeeper soon observed that access to the database had been blocked.
The information that was compromised comprises passwords that have been hashed and salted, together with information about 11k+ archived customers, including their IP addresses, emails, and names.
